A 24/7 live broadcast of a real shrimp aquarium, with an interactive chat overlay.
Shrimp Tank Live streams a real freshwater shrimp aquarium continuously on YouTube. Six cameras cover the tank, and viewers drive the broadcast from YouTube live chat — switching camera angles, playing minigames, earning and spending an in-chat currency, and triggering short scripted segments that take over the screen.
Everything runs on a single computer next to the tank. There is no account to create and nothing to install: if you can type in the live chat, you can use it.
A bot reads the public live chat, responds to commands, and keeps score. To post its replies back into chat it uses the YouTube Data API, authorized once as the broadcast's own bot account.
That authorization is what this site exists to document. The bot is a private tool for a single channel — it is not offered to other channels and there is no sign-up.
